Offer Multiple Purchase Options

An app can carry several purchase options at once, and your buyers choose which one they want. Common examples:

  • A monthly subscription and a discounted annual subscription for the same app.
  • A one-time purchase alongside a subscription.
  • Your in-app Stripe checkout plus a link to your Gumroad, Shopify, or AppSumo listing.

Each option is called an offer. You manage them in the app's Sales section, and PyLocket gives you one shareable buy link that shows them all.

Two kinds of offer

Offer What it is Who collects payment
Stripe price A Stripe Price ID (one-time or recurring) on your connected Stripe account. PyLocket runs the checkout and mints the license automatically. You, through Stripe (PyLocket applies the per-license platform fee).
External link A link to your own listing on Gumroad, Shopify, AppSumo, or your own page. The marketplace / your store. Buyers get their license there or by redeeming a code.

You can mix both. Stripe is one option among many.

Add your options

  1. Open your app, scroll to Sales.
  2. Under Purchase options, choose Stripe price or External link.
    • Stripe price: paste a Price ID (starts with price_). To create one, go to your Stripe Dashboard → Products, add a one-time or recurring price, and copy the Price ID. Add a second price (for example an annual plan) the same way.
    • External link: paste the https:// URL of your listing and give it a label (for example "Buy on Gumroad"). Optionally set a display price.
  3. Give each option a label so buyers understand the choice, such as "Monthly", "Annual — save 18%", or "Lifetime".
  4. Pick a Default option — it is the one used when a single link goes straight to checkout.

Once you have at least one option, copy the buy link shown in the Sales section:

https://get.pylocket.com/buy?app_id=YOUR-APP-ID
  • With one option, the link sends the buyer straight to checkout (or the external listing).
  • With two or more, the link opens a branded "Choose your plan" page where the buyer picks an option, then continues to checkout.

Put that one link anywhere — your website, a social bio, an email, or an ad. It keeps working as you add or remove options.

It works with everything you already use

Post-purchase delivery, per-license download limits, and ad-conversion tracking all apply automatically, no matter which option the buyer chose.

Requirements

  • Selling with Stripe requires a Pro subscription and a connected Stripe account (Settings → Sales & Payments). A subscription price must be at least the platform fee so the per-license fee can be applied on every charge.
  • External links are available on any plan — they are just links to where you already sell.
